Have a nice day!
Argh. Sometimes I just can't stand my mom. Grrr...
Everyone in my family keeps nagging me to get a job, and I'm sick of it. Yes, I want a job. Who wouldn't want an opportunity to meet new people and make some money? Besides, it would get me out of the house more. But still, the way my mom and dad go about their way of asking me if I've applied anywhere is just rude and overly pushy. Worse yet, the places I have applied at haven't called me back, which discourages me.
I just get so frustrated, it makes me want to shut everyone out, because all they do is make me feel bad about myself.
The only person who doesn't do this is my boyfriend. He reminds me that I need to get these things done, but he realizes that I have to do these things myself, so he doesn't constantly pursue the issue. And while I now that I'm going to be an adult soon, I also do need a little bit of help sometimes. But you know what? My boyfriend isn't the one who should have to help me with these things. My parents are the people who should be helping me with these things. They get upset at me when I feel so helpless, but then they barely take the steps to help me know what I'm doing.
-Shrieks Hysterically-
I'm probably not even making any sense. >.>;
I'm sorry for my ranting.
Well, until later...

So...
Graduation and all that jazz went smoothly. I was so nervous, though - I remember very little of going up the steps and receiving my diploma. But, hey, it all worked out in the end.
Hmmm. Well, now that school's out, I need to get a job. Any suggestions?
Yeah...A job would be great. A job = money. Money = more clothes from the Hot Topic! ^.^
-Ahem-
...Or...I could -cough-save-up-for-college-cough-...
Anyway.
I'm done blogging for now.
Time to enjoy the sunshine!

Well...Tomorrow's the big day. Tomorrow I will indeed be graduating from high school.
I guess I have a case of the nerves before the big day. I'm really hoping that everything will turn out OK. There's the usual fears: tripping onstage, getting there late, having my picky hair choose not to cooperate as I try to style it, etc. However, what I'm most concerned about is the whole process of receiving the diploma, and then exciting the arena (where the ceremony is held) after I'm done. Our school had a meeting for about an hour today, dealing with the whole procedure of the event. I'm just really worried because they seemed to gloss over some of the more important aspects of the seating arrangements...When we had a practice run, I exited my row before I was supposed to. >.<;;
Wish me luck, and hope that my pictures turn out. For some reason, I can look very nice and pretty in real life, but as soon as that camera flash goes off...Let's just say that I'm not very photogenic. :'(
Well, time for some dinner and then beauty sleep!

Well, It's another tardy update from the NinjaGirl. What can I say? I have no excuses. I love this blog, but life comes at you quickly...So, I guess that the only promise I can make is that I'm not abandoning this blog, but it might be a while between updates. As always, I beg you to bookmark this page and visit me every once in a while. Hey, maybe you could even comment or leave a tagboard post! -WinkWink, NudgeNudge-
Ah, well, on to the entry...
SO! It's NinjaGirl's Senior year of High School! I guess I could say that I'm keeping up, but I already have a bit of a case of Senioritis, also known as Senior Slacking. I really wish that I had more art classes in my scheduele, though. That would motivate me a little more. Speaking of art, I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do for a career once I get out into the world. I've been considering going into teaching - more specifically, teaching art to high schoolers. Another avenue I could look into is writing, art therapy, or perhaps even illustrating books. I like to think that I am a nurturing person, so right now these choices seem like good ideas. So, please, leave a Ninja Note if you have any ideas about interesting careers for creative and artistic girls like me.
On another note, I've been reading a lot lately. I mean, ever since I was a child, I've read a lot... But even now with a busy school life, I've been reading. Hmmm. Maybe for a new entry I should list off a few of my favorites? That would take a while - I'm reading a couple different series all at the same time! But it would be fun. Someday, I'd like to join a reading circle or a book club. I just love to discuss books. Books, books, books...
BUT! I have an art project that I have put off for far too long already, not to mention eating dinner. With that being said, I bid you all adieu.
Until Next Time,

Ah, Prom. How very enjoyable it was. About a week beforehand, My mom took me shopping and we found a fabulous dress on clearance, for under half the original price. If you know how expensive prom dresses are, you'll realize that this is quite a find! I managed to come up with the money for tickets, and my mom's friend helped me with my hair. The issue of the corsage and such was covered. All that's really left was finding a better pair of heels to wear, which I found at Wal-Mart for a quick fix. My mom helped me out with this a lot more than I expected...
Unfortunately, I ended up spending a lot of the money I had saved for the anime convention on some goodies from Hot Topic. I bought a pair of black & green Invader Zim slip-on shoes. I love them! They're patterned with Gir in various cute poses. I also purchased two long-sleeved thermal shirts. One is light grey with red stars and lightening bolt striking out of a rain cloud, and the other is a shade of blue-green with the most random pattern ever: hearts, skulls, and cupcakes.
Anyway, back to the issue of the Anime Convention.
-Cough-(Am I a geek, or what?)-Cough- ...Ah, yes. The convention. -Ahem-
The name of the convention is Anime Central, or ACEN for short. It runs from May 11th-13th. The convention is centered around anime, manga, and cosplay, and is also a general celebration of the Japanese culture. It is a great place to make friends with similiar interests, participate in panels and discussions, and have fun. Of course, there are vendor booths and stands to buy merchandise, souvenirs, etc. There's so many interesting aspects that I couldn't possibly describe them all. You can learn more about the convention at ACEN's Official Website.
For cosplaying (short for 'Costume Playing' - dressing up as anime or video game character), I need to work on my costume. I'm attempting to make a variation of the Piyoko costume from Di Gi Charat, and possibly a country lolita outfit. Eh, I'll go on about my costume later. You'll just have to wait and find out!
